This isn't the best picture, but I just wanted to show off all the tracks... these are from elk. Some hills are covered in tracks.

This is Lava Creek. The ice is so neat! You can kind of see some of the snow that was falling!

Me, happy. Snow. Yay!

Bunsen peak from the bridge near Mammoth.

So lesson learned today? I have the best job in the world. I work in Yellowstone. How did I get so lucky?

More pictures

A dozen or so lovely pronghorn ran in front of me today. This one posed on the hill.

Coyote! It was great, actually. I was driving along and I thought to myself, hrm, "I haven't seen a coyote in a while. It would be nice if I could see one today." And the next curve, there he was! He was trotting on the road and then jumped on this rock and kindly posed for me. Only 15 feet away. So cool.

Awesome mountains in the distance!

This is a pretty big overview. If you look at the moutain range to the right, it's the same moutains from above!

A little note about mule deer....

So, mule deer in Gardiner, MT.... are like stray dogs. They are everywhere. Look:

Nothing out of the ordinary here, just a typical intersection.. but look closer....

Mule deer! In the lawn! And ravens, in the tree. This house for some reason seems to be the hot spot. There are two deer in this picture, can you find them?

You must admit, they are rather adorable creatures....

More Updates!

It was an absolutely gorgeous day outday! Sunny and warm! Too warm, since the snow was melting, but since I can't control the weather I figured I would head outside and enjoy it some. These are from the drive from Mammoth to Gardiner. So many amazing things in five miles!

It's a little blurry, and they are awfully far away, but there are eight bighorn rams in this picture. Click on it! See the big size! They are awesome!

This is Sepulechur on the left at 9,652 feet and Electric Peak on the right at 10,992 feet. Majestic and amazing.

Better view of Electric Peak. Electric, as you can probably tell from the snow, constantly gets dumped on! Most of the time, there are clouds rolling over head and you often can't even see the peak!

Tower Falls

We skiied to Tower Falls and it was completely frozen over. What's really awesome, is that you can still see the water falling behind the ice!

Finally Updating...

Finally updating. Sorry it's been so long. Winter has been pretty nice. Not nearly enough snow. Didn't have a media port to upload these until now.

Otters! Saw these on our first trip out to Lamar. Five of them right off the road jumping in and out of the water. Adorable!

Otters!

Bison in the winter time.

#10 wandering around. See the snow on his antlers?
